OLIG AG was commissioned by the client to monitor the chimney. Throughout the entire construction period, the 39-metre-high chimney is being monitored using automated geomonitoring. Using a lifting platform, a total of 10 prisms were installed on the chimney so that its displacement and inclination can be tracked. The site management and engineers have access to the automatically published measurement results on the GeoVIS platform and are therefore always up to date. To ensure that the chimney’s natural behaviour-which is strongly influenced by weather conditions-can be identified, the installation was carried out several weeks before excavation began.
